2. Booking enquiries and bookings
If you enquire or book via our booking system or by e-mail, we process your name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number, travel dates and number of guests. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (performance of a contract and pre-contractual measures).

3. Payment processing
To process payments we pass the necessary data on to the payment service provider you select (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Dublin, Ireland; PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., Luxembourg). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

4. Booking portals
If you book via a portal (e.g. Booking.com, Airbnb, FeWo-direkt/HomeToGo), we receive your booking data from there. The respective operator is responsible for processing on the portal itself.

5. Processors and other recipients
For managing the accommodation, communicating with guests and online check-in we use the software of Smoobu GmbH, Berlin, which acts as our processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Other recipients are our tax advisors and the payment service providers named above. Data is not passed on for advertising purposes.

6. Online check-in
Before arrival we ask you to complete an online form. The information collected there serves to prepare your stay and – for foreign guests – to fulfil the statutory registration requirement.

7. Registration requirement
From foreign guests we collect the information required under §§ 29, 30 of the German Federal Registration Act. Registration forms are kept for one year and then destroyed. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR.

8. Statutory retention obligations
We retain invoice and booking records for up to ten years in accordance with commercial and tax law (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR in conjunction with § 147 AO, § 257 HGB).

9. Contact
For enquiries outside a booking we process your details in order to respond. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in answering your enquiry.

10. Server log files
When you visit these pages, technically necessary access data is processed (IP address, date and time, page accessed, browser type). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure and trouble-free operation of the website.

11. Storage period
We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes stated or as required by statutory retention periods.

12. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). Please contact familie.jochemich@wasserburg-anstel.de.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.

13. Requirement to provide data
Providing your data is necessary for concluding and performing the accommodation contract. Without this information we cannot accept a booking.
